The Information Technology Foundation for Education (ITFE) is a non-profit organisation founded by the Estonian Republic, Tartu University, Tallinn Technical University, Eesti Telekom and the Association of Estonian Information Technology and Telecommunications Companies. The 5-member Council of the ITFE is made up of the representatives of the aforementioned founders. They appoint the 3 members of the Executive Board. The Foundation is annually audited by a sworn auditor.
ITFE’s aims are to assist in preparation of the highly qualified IT specialists and to support information and communication technology-related development in Estonia.

To be a reliable partner for governmental and educational institutions and entrepreneurship in providing competitive ICT education meeting tomorrow’s requirements, and a leader in developing and implementing of digital era principles in learning process.
The main goals of the activity include contributing to:
• development of state educational system following the ICT area needs and opportunities;
• preparation of ICT specialists with higher education in compliance with contemporary requirements; initiation and support of ICT area research and development activities;
• use of ICT means and opportunities in study process at all educational levels, improvement of ICT user skills through own assets and assets allocated or donated for the foundation for respective purpose but also management and effective use of means won in public competitions.
